Swapnil Sagar Soren

Hello World!

My name is Swapnil, and welcome to my life log/online panic room/public therapy journal.

Since 2016, I've been wanting to create a little corner of the internet I could call my own.

The original goal? Start writing. Grow. Become the kind of person who says “I blog on the weekends” in coffee shops unironically.

My villain origin story? The Social Network. That scene where Mark Zuckerberg builds Facemash while blogging and ruining lives? Chef’s kiss. I saw that and thought, “I too can do morally ambiguous tech things while expressing myself online.”

So I tried everything: Blogger (felt like 2007), WordPress (felt like work), Wix (looked like a wedding site), Ghost (haunted me with updates), and Notion - which, to be fair, was great until I realized it doesn't actually let you design your site. It's like being handed a beautiful notebook..that’s glued shut. But instead of writing, I fell into the bottomless pit of “tweaking”. Fonts, colors, templates, sidebar or no sidebar - it was a full-time job I wasn’t getting paid for. Every time I tried to write, I ended up redesigning the header for the 100th time. Classic procrastination in productivity’s clothing.

Then, along came Bear Blog - minimal, beautiful, and refreshingly judgment-free. It said, “Hey, buddy. No templates. No plugins. Just vibes.” And I was like: finally.

Bear Blog thrives on constraints. And in those constraints, I found freedom. Turns out, you don’t need an AI chatbot, parallax-ative home page, and animated menus to start sharing your thoughts. You just need to hit “publish”.

Inspired by the motherfuckingwebsite.com (because it’s the punk rock of the internet), this site is my own little rebellion against bloat, SEO hacks, and life coaches on LinkedIn.

So here I am - armed with a blog, a keyboard, and a dream. My humble internet home. Let’s do this. 🚀
